General FAQ

All of our luxury gift boxes, Ready-To-Ship and Custom Gift Boxes, include a custom note card with your handwritten message on one side. As you go through the check out process you'll be able to pick the note card design you like and add your greeting card message to your gift box order. 

Our luxury gift boxes are also personalized with a To/From gift tag for your gift recipient(s). The custom note card is placed inside the gift box, and the To/From gift tag is placed outside the gift box, at no extra cost.

Check out our Design Your Own Customized Gift Boxes here. If you’d like to substitute an item in our Ready-To-Ship Gift Boxes you can use the Design Your Own feature to create a custom gift or send us a message at shop@giftsmack.ca and we can assist you.

When it comes to our Foodie Gift Boxes, we do not offer any strictly vegan, nut-free or gluten-free gift boxes. We would suggest sending one of our Spa & Self-Care Gift Boxes in place of a food based gift box if your gift recipient has dietary restrictions. Please note that we cannot guarantee that our vendors produce items in nut-free or gluten-free certified facilities.

Our Lux Boxes include all the trim for an elevated unboxing experience: Rigid boutique boxes, satin ribbon, hang tags, premium tissue and fill and enclosure sticker and handwritten note card. Our Lux boxes are delivered and shipped in a protective shipping box. 

Our Mod Boxes are our streamlined, beautifully designed shipping boxes and include a handwritten note card and offer an eco-friendly and economical option for sending a gift.

Shipping FAQ

Your shipping rates will be displayed at checkout and vary based on how quickly you’d like the order delivered.

We are always staying upated on the most economical and fastest shipping options for our clients.

We offer our Local Courier Delivery for a flat rate of:

Red Deer, Lacombe, Blackfalds (within city limits only) - $8 per order

Delivery Windows:

At Gift Smack, we actively monitor the number of days we expect a gift to be delivered and are always looking to provide the best possible shipping experience. However, we are not able to guarantee specific delivery dates when a customer selects our Canada Wide Shipping option.

If your order has a firm required delivery date please contact our customer service team at shop@giftsmack.ca to explore options to ensure we meet your expectations.

For Local Courier Alberta Delivery customers, you’ll need to place your order by 10 a.m. MST for next business day delivery.

For Canada Wide Shipping customers, we do not offer next day delivery. The fastest shipping option will be displayed at checkout with an estimated delivery date. Orders placed before 10 a.m. MST will be prepared and sent off with our shipping provider that same or next business day. Once an order leaves our warehouse we cannot control the shipping speed.

Right now, we only ship orders to addresses within Canada (please contact us if you are looking to send corporate orders outside of Canada).

We are always monitoring our carriers for the least expensive shipping options and fastest shipping and provide those options on our checkout page. We most often use Canada Post and UPS for our Canada Wide Shipping. Any PO Box addresses must be sent by Canada Post. For Local Courier delivery we use a courier company. It all depends on what shipping option you select and where the gift is being shipped to.

At Gift Smack, we always ensure to review the delivery address and then decide which delivery method would ensure the smoothest delivery experience possible.

We only deliver gift boxes Monday to Friday based on our carriers' delivery schedules.

Returns & Refunds FAQ

If you’ve recently placed an order and need to change or cancel the order, please contact us ASAP by email shop@giftsmack.ca or phone us at +1 403 782 0250. If the order has already shipped out, we are unable to offer a refund.

We take extreme care in packing gifts for shipping but please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Please contact us at: shop@giftsmack.ca
